A team of engineers of BHEL Bhopal would examine the first unit of the Bhadadri thermal power station, where a fire broke out after a lightning strike on Friday.
Chief engineer (power generation) P. Ratnakar briefed Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at a review meeting held at Madira.
The chief engineer said that the fire was brought into control within one hour. After examination by the team of BHEL engineers, the damage to the power unit would be ascertained accurately.
Bhatti instructed the officials to submit a report on the fire accident with all the details. He also directed them to take measures to resume power generation at unit-I of BTPS.
