Bhongir MP vows to bring central funds for urban development

Education, jobs, and infra development got top priority in the agenda of the state government

Bhongir: Congress Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday exuded confidence that he would bring Central funds for development of towns in his Lok Sabha constituency.

Speaking at the Aliar municipal council meeting, Reddy said the development of municipalities had been paralysed for almost a decade due to negligence of the earlier BRS government.

The BRS government had set up new municipalities, but failed to even provide pucca buildings. He charged former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao with failure to bring urban development funds from the Centre for infrastructure development.

Stating that the Congress government had a clear vision for development and welfare, he said that special focus was laid by Chief Minister A. Reventh Reddy for development of towns and improving living conditions of people in urban areas. He would also bring the issues being faced by people of the Lok Sabha constituency to the notice of the Chief Minister and work for their solution.

Stating that several issues pertaining to Bibinagar AIIMS came to his attention, the newly-elected MP said he would hold a review meeting on the institute after taking the oath as MP.
