Bike Rally To Promote Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Joins Riders To Promote Bike Rally

Hyderabad: Dozens of bikers had a pleasant day out on Sunday, taking part in a bike rally —Ride to Nirvana — from Begumpet to the Buddhavanam Theme Park in Nagarjunasagar. The event was organised by Telangana Tourism to mark the International Tourism Week.

Many were veteran riders, but found the rally a different experience. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Hitesh Madyahnapur, a software employee, said: “I go for a bike ride almost every week with 30 people. But this time it was different as I rode with over 200 riders."

For first-timer Chaitanya. M, a civil engineer, it was a unique experience. He joined the rally with his wife Sai Jyothi T.

“I came across the ‘Ride to Nirvana’ through my friend who does bike riding. I wanted to go on a long ride and my wife joined me,” Chaitanya said. “We both are planning to go bike riding often.”

Sai Jyothi said, "My husband and I are working professionals. This break is just what we needed from our work life. We enjoyed the ride; the road is good.”

Kavitha Chekuri, another rider, said “The tourism department ensured the safety of all participants. My female friends and I had a fantastic weekend with the ride. We all wish that this happens often.”

Flagging off the event. tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao called on youth and social media influencers to promote the state's tourism by visiting and showcasing its diverse attractions.

The rally, jointly organised by the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) and Hyderabad Bike Riders, saw significant participation from bike enthusiasts. Minister Krishna Rao rode alongside the bikers from Begumpet to Tarnaka, infusing energy into the event.

Speaking after the flag-off, Patel Ramesh Reddy, TTDC chairman, said that events like these encouraged youngsters to participate in tourism to places like Buddhavanam.

“Many such rides would be organised to the popular tourist destintaions like Somasila, Ramappa temple and Alampur as part of promoting tourism,” said N. Prakash Reddy, TTDC managing director and special officer, Buddhavanam Project.
