BJP Leader Seeks CBI Probe Into Phone Tapping Case

Hyderabad: Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy on Wednesday adjudicated a writ petition filed by Chintala Ramchandra Reddy, BJP state vice-president and former MLA, seeking a direction to the CBI to probe the BRS government phone-tapping case. He said the CBI inquiry is necessary as the state agency is not probing the case in-depth and there were no developments since the case was registered except for the arrest of a few accused.

Justice Reddy directed the Registry to tag the petition with the suo motu petition on the phone-tapping based on a Deccan Chronicle report, which is being adjudicated a bench comprising of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice T. Vinod Kumar.
