BJP leaders condemn Revanth’s remarks on Modi
Union minister G. Kishan Reddy asserted that Modi does not need validation from Revanth Reddy on his commitment to social equality

Hyderabad: State BJP president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy strongly condemned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s remarks questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s OBC status, calling them “cheap political comments” unworthy of a Chief Minister.
“Revanth Reddy is frustrated as he is losing public credibility. Congress leaders cannot digest Narendra Modi’s growing popularity and their repeated electoral setbacks,” Kishan Reddy said. He asserted that Modi does not need validation from Revanth Reddy on his commitment to social equality.
Highlighting Modi’s efforts for OBC welfare, Kishan Reddy accused the Congress government of attempting to divert attention from its failed BC survey, which allegedly left out lakhs of BC families. He challenged Congress to disclose budget allocations for BC welfare and questioned whether they had ever appointed a BC leader to key posts in their 70 years of rule. Kishan Reddy also emphasised that the BJP was the first party to declare a BC candidate for Chief Minister and warned that the BC community would not tolerate disrespect towards Modi.
Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar also hit back at Revanth Reddy, asking him to clarify the caste and religion of Rahul Gandhi as the grandson of Feroze Jehangir Gandhi. He reminded the CM that Hindu traditions follow paternal lineage. Taking to social media, Bandi Sanjay dismissed Revanth Reddy’s attempt to question Modi’s OBC status, claiming that Modi was listed as OBC in Gujarat’s records when the Congress was in power in 1994. He accused Revanth Reddy of trying to deflect from the Congress government’s reluctance to implement 42 per cent reservation for BCs in local body polls. He also reiterated that the BJP would not allow Muslim inclusion in BC reservations.
BJP floor leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy launched a scathing attack, stating that Revanth Reddy would “go down in history as a characterless leader” who was making reckless statements to hold onto power. He compared Revanth’s political approach to Rahul Gandhi’s and termed his remarks “insane.”
Senior BJP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy also condemned Revanth Reddy’s comments and advised him to withdraw them. He warned that such statements would only damage Revanth’s reputation further. Instead of making controversial remarks, he said, the CM should focus on fulfilling poll promises.
