Hyderabad: The BJP Mahila Morcha activists on Wednesday stormed the secretariat resenting attacks on women and children. The activists were dispersed by the policemen and were prevented from entering inside the secretariat premises. The protest was held under the leadership of its state president Mekala Shilpa Reddy.The protests come in the backdrop of what they called increased attacks on women and failure of law and order in the state. It may be recalled that a rape of a six-year-old child in Peddapalli and a 27-year-old tribal woman was allegedly tortured for a week in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana. The accused assaulted her sister and brother-in-law in Molachintalapally village of Kollapur mandal. She was rescued after some villagers brought the issue to the notice of the police.
