BRS Government's Plans for Musi Revival Remain Unfulfilled

HYDERABAD: While the BRS government unveiled major plans for Musi revival after the formation of Telangana, including construction of 14 heritage-themed bridges and boating facility, it failed to execute it. The excuse was the Covid-19 pandemic.

It merely took up the banks of the Musi during its nine-year tenure besides beautification works at Gandipet and Nagole. Some of it was washed away in the floods.
The construction of 14 bridges, major works including diverting sewage from entering the Musi and removing encroachments was not done.
