Hyderabad: A BRS leader in Kollapur was hacked to death on Wednesday night.
Forty-five-year-old Sridhar Reddy was sleeping outside his house when identified persons axed him to death in his village in Laxmipally village of Chinnambavi mandal in Wanaparthy district.
The BRS party has condemned and alleged that it was a political murder and the Congress leaders were behind it. The party’s working president KT Rama Rao along with other senior leaders left to Kollapur to meet the family members of Reddy.
Following the incident, tension situation prevailed in the village since last night and the district police deployed additional police forces to prevent any untoward incident.
