Hyderabad: In a dramatic turn of events on Monday morning, Gachibowli police detained BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy in the early hours.
Preventive measures were taken as the BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao was to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office in Banjara Hills in connection with an ongoing investigation into the Formula E race case.
Along with Reddy, BRS students’ wing general secretary Vidya Sagar was also detained by the police. The two along with other BRS and student leaders were taken to Kollur police station in preventive custody.
Kaushik Reddy posted a video on 'X' showing how he was intercepted by Cyberabad sleuths while he was heading to the gym. Meanwhile, a senior police official ruled out making any preventive detention of BRS leaders.
