BRS MLC Kavitha’s judicial remand extended till June 3

New Delhi: A Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi on Monday extended the judicial remand of BRS MLC K Kavitha till June 3.

She is presently lodged in Tihar jail in New Delhi after being arrested in connection with Delhi liquor scam on March 15, 2024 and since then she is in judicial remand. She was produced before the court on Monday in virtual mode from the prison.

It was the CBI that first registered the Delhi liquor scam case and took up the probe and later ED started a detailed investigation based on the First Information Report (FIR) issued by the CBI. The ED arrested Kavitha on March 15, 2024 from her residence in Banjara Hills and lodged her in Tihar jail.

The CBI arrested her on April 11, 2024. On Friday, two BRS leaders – RS Praveen Kumar and Balka Suman – met Kavitha during ‘mulakath’ at Tihar jail.
