BRS routed in LS elections, says Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP State president G Kishan Reddy on Thursday said the party’s strength has gone up significantly in the Lok Sabha elections and the BRS was routed completely.

Interacting with media persons, he said the party’s vote share was increasing in every election conducted in the State and this would indicate that the people in Telangana want BJP to come to power. Referring to election results, he said the party won eight MP seats and stood in second place in seven Parliament constituencies while the BRS lost deposit in several constituencies.

The BJP won the MP seat in Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s constituency, he said adding that it would be BJP in future in the State as the party got 35 per cent vote share. Though the Congress resorted to false campaigning during elections, the people in the country had faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and extended support to him in the elections.

Kishan Reddy said the BJP would strive to work to fulfill the aspirations of people in the State.
