BRS seeks discussion on E race in Assembly, Council
Hyderabad:The BRS sought a discussion on Formula-E prix held in Hyderabad during the BRS regime over which a controversy arose with the government asking the Anti-Corruption Bureau to investigate all aspects relating to the conduct of the event in the city.
With then IT, industries and urban development minister K. T. Rama Rao, and the BRS working president in the eye of this controversy, the BRS on Wednesday, in separate letters to the speaker of the Legislative Assembly, and chairman of the Legislative Council, sought a discussion in both houses on the subject.
In its representations, signed by its MLAs, and MLCs, the BRS said since the legislature is in session, the matter should be discussed instead of the government taking a decision on the probe into the issue getting known to the public in a roundabout manner. The party urged that a thorough discussion on the issue in public in both houses will reveal what is true and what are baseless allegations relating to the bringing of the race to the city and its conduct.
