BRS Will Vanish by Next Election: TPCC Chief

Mahesh Kumar Goud criticizes BJP for neglecting unemployed youth, accuses BRS of decade-long corruption in Telangana.

Nizamabad: TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud on Wednesday urged graduates to back the Congress in the upcoming MLC elections, alleging a secret pact between the BJP and BRS across all electoral contests, including the MLC polls. He accused the BJP of cheating unemployed youth and condemned BRS for a decade of alleged looting in Telangana.

At meetings in Kamareddy and Nizamabad supporting Congress MLC candidate V. Narender Reddy, Goud noted that voters had already rejected BRS in Assembly and Parliamentary elections, predicting that the party will vanish from state politics by the next Assembly polls.

Goud also drew a sharp contrast between former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and current Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, praising the latter's inclusive governance and effective delivery of public services over the past year. “KCR neglected even the Opposition role and is now trying to blame the Congress government,” he asserted.

Other senior Congress leaders — including excise and tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir, MP Suresh Shetkar, MLC T. Jeevan Reddy, and several MLAs — stressed the need for a strong, committed representative. They emphasised that the Congress government was born out of the struggles of unemployed youth and positioned the MLC elections as a direct contest between the Congress and the BJP.

Criticising the BJP-led central government, Congress leaders pointed out that the recent Union Budget allocated zero funds to Telangana, accusing the Centre of favouring Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh while sidelining the state. They urged voters to elect Narender Reddy as their champion in addressing grievances and fighting for their rights.
