BuildNow for building, layout for approvals
As part of the introduction process of BuildNow, an orientation programme was held on Saturday at the GHMC head office, attended by officers and staff of the town planning section

Hyderabad: BuildNow — the state government’s new unified building and layout approval system — is tentatively scheduled to be introduced in the first week of March.
Once it is is operational, all builders must apply for permission through BuildNow, which will replace Telangana Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System (TG-bPASS) introduced in September 2020 by the previous BRS government.
“ We will give a transition of around two months. During this time, files in the TG-bPASS will be closed. New applications will be accepted only through BuildNow,” K. Srinivas, GHMC chief city planner, told Deccan Chronicle.
“The BuildNow application is one of the fastest drawing scrutiny systems supported by advanced technologies that will reduce the processing time,” he added.
Previously, TG-bPASS had replaced the Development Permission Management System (DPMS). At that time, all the files in the DPMS were closed in the same portal after addressing issues.

The BuildNow application is being launched to facilitate speedy online disposal of building and layout approvals, said GHMC in a press release.
