Nalgonda: Dasari Harichandana, returning officer for the May 27 Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Legislative Council graduates bypoll on Friday stated that the candidates and political parties should conclude their campaign by 4 pm on Saturday, after which meetings and sending bulk SMSes is not allowed.
Under Section 12 of the Public Representation Act, action would be taken against those who violated it, she warned.
She said that the police and election officials would keep a check on lodges, guest houses, community halls and function halls. She informed that two ballot boxes would be allocated to each polling station, which would have over 800 voters. She warned that criminal cases would be filed against the voters, if they took selfies while casting their votes.
