Case Against KTR for Unauthorised Rally

Hyderabad: Banjara Hills police filed cases against BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and five others for organising an unauthorised rally on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, after he left the ACB office on Thursday.

Rama Rao slowed his vehicle to give statements to the media, police said. This attracted a crowd of party workers and media personnel.

The complaint, filed by a sub-inspector, said that despite repeated instructions from the police to move on, Rama Rao allegedly instructed his driver to stop the vehicle.

The situation escalated when Rama Rao engaged with the media and argued with the police. As the vehicle proceeded, Rama Rao directed BRS workers to gather more supporters and within moments a crowd of approximately 30 individuals, including party leaders Balka Suman, Govardhan Reddy, Gellu Srinivas, Jai Simha, and Krishank Manne started an unauthorised rally.

According to the police, the gathering obstructed traffic for nearly an hour and caused public nuisance.
