Case booked against Ex-BRS MLA A Jeevan Reddy for allegedly grabbing land
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police booked a case against the former BRS MLA A. Jeevan Reddy for allegedly grabbing a businessman’s land at Erlapally village in Chevella.
In the complaint, the businessman, Sama Damodhar Reddy, a resident of Upparpally village in Rajendranagar, said he purchased 20 acres 20 guntas land in survey numbers - 32, 35, 36 and 38 on the outskirts of Erlapally village in 2002 and constructed a function hall in the name of his father Parmareddy. Since then he has been in possession of the land.
In 2023, the adjacent land owners named former MLA A. Jeevan Reddy, his wife A Rajitha and mother A Rajubai occupied half of his land and demolished the function hall and constructed a new building.
Damodhar Reddy said he along with his family members questioned Jeevan Reddy about the encroachment. However, one D. Suresh, who is doing watchman duty and Behar, a Punjab gang member and others obstructed them while entering the land and threatened them with dire consequences.
On May 22, 2024 evening at 4.20 am when they again went to their field then other States gang members didn't allow them into the land and threatened with dire consequences showing deadly weapons. Based on a complaint, the police registered a case against Jeevan Reddy under Sections 447, 427, 341, 386, 420 and 506 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and took up investigation.
