Caste Survey: Day 1 Sees House Listing Exercise
Adilabad: Even as enumerators pasted stickers on houses as part of the house listing exercise on Wednesday, reports emerged that survey forms have yet to be supplied to the enumerators.
Collector Rajarshi Shaw stated that the complete household survey with full details will be undertaken in the coming days.
Nirmal collector Abhilasha Abhinav announced that the house listing process will continue on November 7 and 8, and the collection of details from households will start from November 9.
Enumerators identified households on the first day of the survey, and the identification process will continue for two more days. The respective MPDOs are supervising the ongoing survey in the villages.
Adilabad collector Rajarshi Shaw visited Mukhra (K) and Gerjam villages in Ichoda mandal, inspected houses, and found some lapses. He identified faults with MPDO Laxman, AOA Kailas, and panchayat raj secretary Syed Ezaz Hussein, issuing show-cause notices to them on charges of negligence of duties.
Nirmal collector Abhilasha Abhinav inspected a few villages, verified the stickers on the houses, and made a surprise visit to the new Sanghi village in Mamada mandal in Nirmal district.
Along with sub-collector Shraddha Shukla, municipal commissioner Anjaiah, and additional collector of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district Deepak Tiwari inspected the process of pasting stickers on houses in Subhash Chandrabose Colony in Kagaznagar town.
Mancherial collector Kumar Deepak monitored the house stickers as part of the house listing exercise of the survey in the district.
