Centre Serious on Tirupati Laddu Row: MP Arvind

Nizamabad: The BJP MP, Arvind Dharmapuri, on Friday said the Centre is serious about the allegation of adulteration of Lord Sri Venkateshwara’s prasad Tirupati laddu. “Not only laddu, other problems are also dime a dozen at Tirumala,” he said. The MP demanded an inquiry into the Laddu controversy to clear the doubts of devotees.

Arvind paid tribute to his father and former APCC president D. Srinivas here on Friday on his birth anniversary. Speaking to reporters, the MP said a Sanatan Board should be set up to protect the interests of Hindus. There is a conspiracy to destroy the unity of Hindus in the country, he alleged.

Arvind Dharmapuri said the BJP is the alternative political force after the Congress in Telangana. The BRS was wiped out from the state politics, he said. If BJP leaders work hard, the party will definitely come to power in the state, he opined. He appreciated the initiatives of HYDRAA over illegal structures and suggested that it should work ‘secularly’ not ‘selectively’.

HYDRAA’s works should reflect beyond the region, religion and caste, the BJP MP said. The BJP state secretary Palle Ganga Reddy, party leader Baswapuram Laxminarsaiah and others were present on the occasion.
