Kamareddy: IPS officer B. Chaitanya assumed charge as assistant superintendent of police (ASP) of Kamareddy on Wednesday. She took over the role at the sub-divisional police officer’s office.
Deputy Superintendent of Police D. Nageshwar Rao, who was transferred from Kamareddy, handed over the charge to Chaitanya. Police officers from the Kamareddy subdivision welcomed the new ASP during the occasion.
New Bhiknoor SI appointed
Kamareddy: Following the death of Bhiknoor police sub-inspector Sathelli Sai Kumar in Adloor Yellareddy Lake on December 26, the police department has appointed a new SI.
D. Anjaneyulu, previously SI of Domakonda police station, was transferred and posted as Bhiknoor SI. He assumed charge immediately on Wednesday. The appointment comes a week after the tragic loss, with higher authorities ensuring the position was filled promptly.
