Hyderabad: The railway ministry has approved the introduction of Train 17059/17060 Charlapalli-Tiruchanur-Charlapalli Weekly Express by regularising the existing special service. The weekly express, in addition to existing services to Tirupati, is expected to improve passenger capacity on the route and facilitate travel to the pilgrimage centre of Tirumala.
Officials said the regularisation will ensure continuous operation at scheduled timings, enabling passengers to plan their journeys in advance. Tiruchanur railway station, located about 5 km from Tirupati main station, has been developed as a smaller facility to ease congestion between Tirupati and Renigunta. It provides access to the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple.
