Chief of Air Staff to Review Parade at Dundigal AFA on Dec. 14

Hyderabad:The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to commission its first batch of weapon systems branch officers, a landmark moment in its history, at the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) scheduled for December 14 at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, Hyderabad.
The ceremony will celebrate the successful completion of pre-commissioning training for flight cadets across multiple branches.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh will be the reviewing officer for the parade. The event will see the conferral of the ‘President’s Commission’ upon graduating cadets, along with the presentation of ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevets’ to officers from the IAF, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and an officer from a foreign country.
The highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of the ‘President’s Plaque’ and ‘Chief of the Air Staff Sword of Honour’ to the top cadet of the flying branch, who will also command the parade. The cadet excelling in the ground duty branch will receive the ‘President’s Plaque.’
Adding to the spectacle, aerial displays will be performed by SU-30 MKI, the Surya Kiran aerobatic team and the ‘Sarang’ helicopter team, alongside flypasts featuring Pilatus PC-7 Mk-II, Hawk, Kiran, and Chetak aircraft.
