Chikkadpally Police Told Sandhya Theatre Not to Get Pushpa Actors to Show
Hyderabad: The Chikkadpally police said that it had told the management of the Sandhya theatre not to allow Pushpa-2 actor or actress or other team members for the premiere show. This, according to the police, was communicated to the theatre management through a notice issued on December 3, a day before the death of a woman due to asphyxiation.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Chikkadpally station house officer B. Raju Naik said, “We sent an official notice to Sandhya theatre management asking them not to allow actor Allu Arjun, actress Rashmika Mandanna or their production team during the show that was scheduled on December 4. However, the theatre management went ahead with getting the movie team to the show.”
He said the notice was issued to the theatre management in advance after our officers assessed the situation.
A day after the notice, at around 9.40 pm on December 4, 39-year-old M. Revathi died due to asphyxiation following a stampede and her nine-year-old son Sri Tej is still being treated at KIMS Hospital, Raju said.
“We registered a case against the theatre management for violating the rules and allowing the actor to visit the theatre during the premiere show,” Raju further said.
“In the notice, we also mentioned that Sandhya theatre is located on RTC cross road, where there are several restaurants. We said that Sandhya 35 mm and Sandhya 70 mm theatres are in the same compound and there is no specific entry and exit to Sandhya 70 mm,” the SHO said.
The notice further stated that if any celebrities come to the Sandhya theatre, it is not possible to control the crowd for special shows because of the single entry.
