Clicking on Duty-Free Site at RGIA Leading to Indonesian Websites Raises Security Fears

Hyderabad:Many users trying to reach the website of the Hyderabad duty-free outlet at the Shamshabad airport,they are being redirected to an Indonesian website operated under the name “Informatics Journals,” a platform for research papers.

This has flummoxed the users, who are unable to browse or purchase products as most of the site is non-functional except for two active buttons. Clicking on them leads to another Indonesian page, SENDALJP.

Travellers who rely on the website to pre-book duty-free products are wondering whether this is a technical glitch or a possible security issue. Some of them have posted their worries on the ‘X’ platform.

Meanwhile, cyber security experts are advising passengers to avoid entering personal or payment information on the site until the issue is resolved, indirectly hinting at a possible security risk.

Duty-free officials have said that they are actively working to resolve the problem and expect the website to be back to normal within a week.
