CM assures equitable support to tribals

Hyderabad: A delegation of Adivasi leaders from across the state met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Friday to highlight the pressing issues faced by their communities.

The leaders claimed that the Chief Minister assured them of declaring the death anniversary of Adivasi legend Komaram Bheem as a state festival. Other assurances included issuing pattas for podu lands, establishing study circles for Adivasis in all districts, providing solar pump sets for Adivasi farmers, revoking old cases filed against Adivasis, and allocating special Indiramma houses for them. The leaders said that the Chief Minister pledged comprehensive efforts for their empowerment across various sectors.
The delegation comprised 30 members, including community leaders and notable figures such as Minister for Rural Development Seethakka, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, former MP and MLA Soyam Bapurao, Atram Sakku, Thudum Debba leaders Godam Ganesh, Bursa Pochaiah, and Nagoba temple Peetadipathi Mesram Venkat Rao. Other prominent attendees included Adivasi leaders Sidam Arju, Atram Suguna, Mesram Manohar, Marsakola Tirupti, Tekam Bhaskar, Prof. Gummadi Anuradha, Apka Nageshwarao, Rega Rajender, and Mesram Gangaram.
