CM Directs Officials to Provide 7 Fine Paddy Seed Varieties on Subsidy This Kharif

The Chief Minister said the government must maintain complete and real-time information on farmers, crops, production estimates and procurement operations right from the sowing stage until the completion of grain purchases.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to make seven varieties of fine paddy seeds available to farmers on subsidy for the ongoing kharif session. With the government offering a bonus to farmers cultivating fine varieties of paddy, the Chief Minister asked officials to ensure that there is no shortage of seeds.

To bring greater transparency and speed in fertiliser distribution, the CM directed officials to introduce an app-based booking system for all types of fertilisers. Farmers who book urea through the app should receive supplies through Rythu Vedikas. Responsibility for urea distribution should be entrusted to district additional collectors, he said.
