CM Distributes Cheques to TG Civil Services Aspirants

Hyderabad: Emphasising that the Telangana had emerged as an ideal state for having provided 55,143 jobs to unemployed youth across government departments in one year, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday called upon 20 civil service candidates, who are all set to appear for interviews, to crack the competitions by emerging in flying colours.

He distributed cheques of Rs 1 lakh each under the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastam to candidates who had cleared the mains and were preparing for interviews conducted by UPSC for IAS, IPS and IFS opportunities.

Revanth Reddy directed the resident officer of Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to provide proper facilities for Telangana candidates appearing for Civil services exams.

"Bihar is a backward state but many from the state have made Civil Services grade and serving the nation with aplomb. We obtained information that there is special training for candidates appearing for civil services exams. Similarly, the Telangana government has also started focusing on candidates preparing for civils and we are extending financial support," Reddy said.

Accusing the BRS government for failing to issue job notifications, the Chief Minister said that the government would appoint at least 563 candidates under Group-I notification.

The Telangana movement had initiated employment issues. The Congress government is fully focused on providing jobs to unemployed youth.
