CM Revanth: Govt Committed to Christian Welfare
Hyderabad: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday extended their Christmas greetings to the people of the state.
“Christmas is a joyous occasion to celebrate the birth of Jesus and cherish His ideals. His life symbolises love, forgiveness, truth, compassion, brotherhood and sacrifice,” said Governor Varma. He conveyed warm greetings to the Christian fraternity and the people of Telangana on the occasion.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended heartfelt greetings to the Christian community. He stated that the teachings of Jesus Christ were a guiding force for humanity. “The message of Jesus Christ — qualities like love, tolerance, peace and service towards others — is ideal for us,” the CM noted.
He emphasised the government’s commitment to the welfare and development of all religions, guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ. “The government is resolved to ensure the all-round development of Christian minorities,” the CM stated, appealing to the Christian community to celebrate Christmas with joy and happiness.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, in his greetings, said: “Following the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Congress government is committed to secular governance, ensuring the welfare and development of people from all religions.” He also reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to the holistic development of Christian minorities.
BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao described Christ as a figure of great sacrifice and non-violence. “Even while being crucified for no crime of His own, Christ prayed for the forgiveness of hard-hearted sinners,” he said.
Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy conveyed his greetings, wishing for the blessings of Jesus Christ to always be abundant in people’s lives.
Endowments minister Konda Surekha urged people to embrace the season’s spirit. “Let us renew our commitment to fostering a more peaceful and compassionate world,” she stated.
