CM Revanth Has Failed: BJP
Hyderabad: BJP state general secretary Premender Reddy criticised that the government is celebrating its first anniversary after failing to keep its promises made by them in Warangal as part of the farmers' declaration. “The Revanth Reddy government has failed in giving Rythu Bharosa and tenant farmers and labourers are waiting for the promises made to them,” he said while addressing the media in the party's state office on Wednesday.
“The CM lied at the Warangal Arts College grounds from where they made promises. The government announced that they would waive off the crop loans of 64 lakh farmers but by their own admission, only 22 lakh farmers got the benefit. What happened to the PM Fasal Bima Yojana which was promised to be implemented? If the scheme is in place, Telangana farmers would have received thousands of crores in compensation after recent calamities,” he noted.
Premender Reddy demanded the government to come out with the data on how much paddy was bought and how much of that was of fine varieties. “The state government has failed to buy paddy despite the Centre bearing the costs of purchase, storage and other expenses. The government is claiming credit for the 50,000 jobs that it did not give,” he added.
