CM Revanth Orders Expansion of Prajavani to Grassroots
Directs rollout at revenue and mandal levels, calls for digital tracking and time-bound grievance redressal

Hyderabad: Prajavani services will be expanded to the grassroots level, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directing officials to extend the system to revenue divisions on priority and later to mandals in phases.
Reviewing the programme here on Sunday, the Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and CMO officials to make Prajavani services accessible locally, reducing the need for people to travel to Hyderabad or district headquarters. He directed that all complaints be registered, forwarded to the concerned departments, and that applicants be informed of the status.
The Chief Minister also ordered the appointment of dedicated nodal officers at every administrative level and the establishment of specialised Prajavani wings in districts and government departments. He called for an auto-escalation system to ensure unresolved grievances are moved to higher officials.
Launched on December 8, 2023, the day Revanth Reddy assumed office, Prajavani is held every Tuesday and Friday at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan. Officials from various departments receive petitions and act on them, while similar weekly programmes are conducted in districts under the supervision of collectors.
Revanth Reddy said there should be no compromise in grievance redressal and asked officials to conduct regular reviews at the district and state levels. He directed close monitoring of pending cases through dashboards and held officials accountable for delays.
He directed departments to set timelines for disposal of grievances and develop a unified digital platform for registration, tracking and resolution, along with real-time monitoring mechanisms at district and state levels.
The Chief Minister said decentralisation would ease the burden on state and district Prajavani centres and stressed that the system should be implemented effectively to build public confidence.
