Yadagirigutta to get board on lines of TTD: Telangana CM
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made clear the state government’s intention to constitute the "Yadagirigutta Temple Board" for the Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple on the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and asked the officials to take the necessary steps to establish the board.
He announced that the temple town would be known by its old name of Yadagirigutta, the Chief Minister directed officials to make required changes in all official records and daily usage and drop the name Yadadri which was introduced by the previous BRS government.
During a review meeting with temple officials on the developmental works of the hill shrine, where he offered special prayers on his birthday, Revanth Reddy instructed the authorities to conduct a thorough study towards forming the temple board. At present, the Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Devasthanam (SLNSD) is being maintained by the endowments department with an executive officer.
Two sub-temples, Parvathavardhi Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy and Patagutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, come under the Devasthanam jurisdiction.
Revanth Reddy asked the officials to leverage the technical innovations for cow protection and instructed them to introduce a special policy for the purpose in the goshala. Reminding that the state government had reintroduced the old tradition of providing the facility for devotees to sleep overnight at the hill-top shrine, Revanth Reddy asked the officials to take appropriate measures.
Revanth Reddy asked the officials to speed up the gold-coating of Vimana Gopuram and complete it before Brahmotsavam scheduled before March 1.
The Chief Minister asked the authorities to complete the pending land acquisition for the development of the temple and directed the officials to grant the required funds for it. The Yadadri Temple Development Authority has collected 1,241.36 acres of land around the temple and is looking for an additional 101.1 acres of land.
Asking the officials to provide details and proposals in a week, Revanth Reddy directed them to complete all pending works and stated that the government would release the required funds.
