Adilabad: Adilabad collector Rajarshi Shah on Tuesday told the farmers who lost their standing crops to floods to submit a survey report about the crop damage and loss of properties along with their Aadhar and bank account numbers to the state government before September 12.
The collector said farmers who lost their crops will get Rs 10,000 as compensation per acre and the amount will be deposited into their bank accounts. He also said they are collecting details of the property losses that occurred between August 31 and September 8. Tahasildars are collecting these details which will be submitted through treasury and Rs 16,500 will be deposited into bank accounts.
Collector Rajarshi Shah also visited a few flood-affected villages along the river Penganga in Adilabad district. The collector visited Sangidi and Bedoda in Bela mandal He inspected the damaged crops and interacted with farmers who lost their standing crops. Some villagers told the collector that their houses collapsed and flood water entered into their houses.
Bhavesh Mishra, secretary to the Telangana Government IT, who was appointed as special officer to supervise the assessment of the damage caused by the recent floods visited a few villages in Nirmal district and held a review meeting with the officials concerned on September 8.
Along with collector Abhilasha Abhinav, Bhavesh Mishra visited Rachapur village in Lxmanchanda mandal and inspected the property losses there.
