Colleges Ordered Not to Withhold Certificates: Seethakka
Seethakka said the government was making the payments to colleges and some adjustments had to be made in releasing the funds as the government had to make provision for releasing Rs 21,000 crore towards farm loan waiver.

Hyderabad: The government has instructed managements of all private colleges to not hold back certificates of students finishing their studies this academic year on the pretext of fee reimbursement dues, minister Danasari ‘Seethakka’ Anasuya informed the Assembly on Saturday.
Replying on behalf of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to CPI MLA Kunamaneni Sambasiva Rao during Question Hour, Seethakka said Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had already met with representatives of the private colleges and “ordered” that no certificates of graduating students should be withheld.
She said that Bhatti had explained to the managements that the government will release the dues in tranches and the colleges should not put students into difficulties. The minister said of the Rs 5,520.6 crore dues, the government had released Rs 821.12 crore and tokens were raised for another Rs 1,200 crore.
