Congress celebrates Rahul's birthday

Hyderabad: Congress workers across the state on Wednesday celebrated the 54th birthday of Rahul Gandhi. Ministers, Congress MLAs,

MLCs and MPs took part in the celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan. Blood donation camps, distribution of essential commodities, fruits and sweets to people marked the celebrations.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka took part in
the celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan. He pledged to carry forward the caste survey mooted by Rahul Gandhi to ensure equitable distribution of wealth to all sections of people in the country.. He praised Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra and his vision for a secular and prosperous India. "Rahul Gandhi's call for a caste census is revolutionary. We will implement his ideas in Telangana," Bhatti said.

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy took part in the blood donation camp at Gandhi Bhavan and donated blood. He said Gandhi family made several sacrifices to protect the unity and integrity of the country and Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra united the country and checked communal and divisive forces.

Senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao took part in the celebrations at AICC office in Delhi. He met Rahul Gandhi and conveyed his birthday wishes. Later, Hanumantha Rao along with minister Ponnam Prabhakar, AICC secretary SA Sampath Kumar, TPCC general secretary R. Laxman Yadav took part in the celebrations at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi.
