Congress changed TG into model state in just 1 year: TPCC chief

Warangal: The Congress government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, has transformed Telangana into a model state within a year through various development initiatives and investments worth thousands of crores, said TPCC chief Bomma Mahesh Kumar.

Speaking at a press conference in Hanamkonda on Saturday, accompanied by ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, Konda Surekha, and CMO chief adviser V. Narendar Reddy, Mahesh Kumar addressed the media under the leadership of Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy.
Mahesh Kumar announced that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would visit Warangal district on November 19 to participate in the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu, celebrating the Congress government's first anniversary, at the Arts and Science College grounds in Hanamkonda.
He criticised the BRS government, stating that no significant progress was made during their 10-year rule, except for benefiting the family of Chandrashekar Rao. “There will be no BRS in the state by the next Assembly elections. What has Chandrasekhar Rao done for the people as the leader of the main Opposition party?” he questioned. He challenged BRS leaders to discuss their achievements over the past decade, asserting that the Congress government is ready to showcase its accomplishments in just one year.
Mahesh Kumar further alleged that BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao is aware of the mistakes he has committed, which is why he is now declaring his willingness to face legal consequences.
He highlighted two major initiatives of the Congress government: the formation of HYDRAA and the restoration of the Musi River, asserting that these projects would not be rolled back. He criticised BRS land grabbers for opposing HYDRAA and assured that the initiative would protect the interests of the poor.
The TPCC chief also demanded BJP state president and Union minister Kishan Reddy clarify his stance on the Musi restoration project and HYDRAA. He accused the BJP of focusing solely on religious politics while struggling to maintain its relevance in Telangana.
Mahesh Kumar announced that the Congress would hold the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu with 1 lakh women participants on November 19, marking the birth anniversary of former prime minister Indira Gandhi at the Arts and Science College grounds in Hanamkonda.
