Congress government took Rs 65,000 crore loans in 8 months: Harish

BRS leader says state debt will have new debt of Rs 4,87,500 crore in next five years

Hyderabad: BRS leader Harish Rao said that the Congress government in the state had borrowed Rs 65,000 crore loans in eight months and predicted that it would raise loans of Rs 4,87,500 crore in five years. The BRS government in contrast had borrowed Rs 4,26,000 crore in nine years, he claimed.

Addressing a press conference, Harish Rao demanded the that state government release a White Paper on farm loan waiver as the ministers have been making contradictory statements on the amount given in farm loan waiver and the number of beneficiaries.

Harish Rao demanded that the government immediately implement Rythu Bharosa, The BRS government had given Rs 72,000 crore under Rythu Bandhu and waived farm loan of Rs 30,000 crore, he said.

Highlighting the number of dengue and viral fevers cases, Harish Rao demanded that the government declare a health emergency. “The state government is adopting diversion tactics. Sanitation conditions have turned from bad to worse,” the BRS leader said.

Harish Rao also pointed out that government hospitals were not having medicines. The government must conduct a review on public health, he demanded.
