In a span of three months, the government credited Rs.22,000 crore into bank accounts of farmers towards loan waiver of upto Rs.2 lakh. This was a record in the country itself. Bhatti said that the loan waiver decision benefited bankers along with farmers.
About Rs 22,000 crore were credited to banks at one go and it helped banks in the recovery of loans at one stroke. This certainly deserved appreciation from bankers, he said.

An MoU was reached with solar power companies to generate 1,000 MW of solar power. He called upon bankers to come forward to encourage women.
Stating that Revanth Reddy is giving importance to Hyderabad, he said the government considered Musi River as a jewel of Hyderabad. The government’s objective was to work for rejuvenation of Musi river and protect the health of people living in the vicinity of Musi river. Bankers have to extend financial assistance to those displaced under Musi River Development scheme.
Bhatti disclosed that interest free loans would be extended to Musi displaced women. An amount of Rs.20,000 crore was extended to women SHGs. With the construction of Regional Ring Road, industrial, pharma and housing clusters will be developed on a large scale.
Once RRR is completed, large scale investments will come to the State, he said and added that the State government has prepared plans ready to attract the world's attention. He sought the cooperation of bankers in extending financial help to the MSME sector that provides employment to lakhs of people.
The State government was not for development confined to only a few areas in the State but to include all regions and sections of society, he said. Bhatti said that the meeting with bankers was organised ahead of budget so that they would formulate their plans in line with the government's priorities.
After 10 years of neglect of Telangana, the State government gave equal priority for welfare and development and bankers should prepare their plans accordingly, he added.
