Congress Govt. will take up more health related initiatives in Telangana: Ponnam
Hyderabad: The Congress government would take up more health related programmes for the benefit of people in the State, said Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
Speaking after taking part in the State-level national deworming day programme organized at Raj Bhavan High School in Somajiguda here, he said deworming tablets would be beneficial for the children’s physical growth and advised parents to encourage their children to consume these tablets.
Those up to 19 years can consume these tablets, he said. The Minister further stated that the deworming tablets would be distributed from June 20 to 27 for the benefit of as many as 11.77 lakh children. A review meeting was also conducted by the Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha for strengthening the medical and health department on all fronts, he said.
The management of several schools in the twin cities also sent messages to the parents asking them to collect deworming tablets from counters at the school concerned.
