Hyderabad: BJP MP M. Raghunandan Rao on Tuesday said the TRS had taken a compulsory retirement scheme (CRS) when it renamed itself as the BRS. The regional party is in such a position that it is not able to retain 15 of its MLAs till the next Assembly session and survival of its existence is in doubt.
Addressing media, the Medak MP said former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had fooled people in the name of ‘Nillu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu’ while in power for 10 years and was most interested in `Royyala Pulusu” (spicy prawns gravy) offered by YSRC leader R.K. Roja and shaking hands with former Andhra
Pradesh chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy than protecting the interests of the state.
On BRS leader T. Harish Rao’s demand that seven mandals be remerged with Telangana from AP and Sileru irrigation project must be included in Telangana, Raghunandan said BRS leaders never spoke about these issues when they were in power. “KCR was more interested in giving a feast to Jagan and shaking hands with N. Chandrababu Naidu, but never raised these issues concerning the state. Raghunandan Rao said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is having time to camp in Delhi for five days to discuss politics and decide their PCC chief, but he is not interested to focus on implementing the poll promises including Rythu Barosa. He charged that the Revanth Reddy government has been adopting dilatory tactics by appointing committees and commissions led by Deputy Chief Minister and other ministers to study and finalise the guidelines to implement farm loan waiver. The BJP demands the Congress government to waive farm loans to all eligible and genuine farmers instead of setting any conditions, he said.
Stating that Revanth Reddy is faltering on his steps on implementing poll promises, particularly on farm loan waiver and administration, Raghunandan said the Chief Minister can convene an all-party meeting to discuss these issues and the BJP is ready to give valuable suggestions to him.
“But, if the Chief Minister is interested in evading his poll promises of Warangal Farm Declaration and Abhayahastam, he would face the same fate like KCR in near future,” he said.
