Congress MP Anil Kumar Yadav lodges police complaint against KTR

Hyderabad: Congress Rajya Sabha member M Anil Kumar Yadav on Tuesday lodged a police complaint against the BRS working president and former Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) for making unnecessary statements against the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

In a complaint lodged with the Saifabad police, he said he was filing the complaint against KTR after verifying a tweet on his X account posted at 12.47 pm on August 20, 2024, stating “Mark my words Cheap Minister Revanth. We will clear out the trash from the surroundings of Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat the very day we are back in office. Cannot expect a Delhi Ghulam like you to ever understand the self-respect and pride of Telangana. Using filthy language in front of school children shows your lousy thinking and rude upbringing. Wishing you speedy healing from your mental sickness.”

Yadav said KTR’s tweet was highly defamatory amounting to damaging the reputation of the Chief Minister. KTR defamed the Chief Minister by deliberately using the word “Cheap Minister” and called him as “Delhi Ghulam” which is highly defamatory.

“KTR’s statement was not only damaging the reputation of the Chief Minister but also the reputation of the entire Telangana. I request you to kindly register a criminal case against KTR in the interest of justice,” Yadav said.

He said the Chief Minister was working hard for the welfare of the State of Telangana and trying to bring foreign investors to invest thousands of crores of rupees in Hyderabad and Telangana.
