Congress MP Dr Mallu Ravi Seeks New Rail Lines for Nagarkurnool

Hyderabad: Congress MP Dr Mallu Ravi on Friday asked the South Central Railway (SCR) to set up rail lines within his Nagarkurnool parliamentary constituency. Dr Ravi sought railway lines from Dornakal to Suryapet, Nalgonda, Kalwakurthy, Nagarkurnool; Wanaparthy to Gadwal; Kalwakurthy to Macherla and Jadcherla to Nandyal via Nagarkurnool and Kollapur.

Handed over a request letter to SCR General Managar Arun Kumar Jain during a meeting at Rail Nilayam here, Dr Ravi said that setting up new railway lines in undivided Mahbubnagar district would provide an opportunity for industries to develop in Nagarkurnool. He also sought a skill development centre at Gadwal and asked for particulars about the solar panelling proposed to be done in the vacant land at the Gadwal railway station.

The MP sought details on the ongoing modernisation ofAlampur and Gadwal railway stations under the Amrit Bharat scheme and expressed his support for the initiative aimed at upgrading these stations.
