Congress not sincere in fighting KCR family’s graft: Bandi

Hyderabad: Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay Kumar charged that BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao was pretending to be a freedom fighter instead of cooperating with the investigating agencies in the Formula E race scam.

Sanjay questioned how Rama Rao, as a minister in the BRS government, could release the government funds without Cabinet approval. “Moreover, when the Chief Minister is being insulted as a puppet CM and other derogatory names, why is Revanth Reddy not taking action," he questioned.

In a statement, the minister alleged that there could have been a secret deal between BRS president and Revanth Reddy. He claimed that whenever the BRS government scams were exposed, Chandrashekar Rao visited Delhi and engaged in talks with the Congress leaders.

Sanjay questioned the necessity of paying crores of rupees without Cabinet approval for the Formula E race while the students had not been reimbursed their fee.

He also questioned the lack of urgency in releasing Aarogyasri funds to private hospitals. He alleged that the Congress had failed to handle major issues like the farmhouse drug case, phone tapping case, Kaleshwaram and Dharani land matters.

Separately, Sanjay informed that the Swadeshi Mela would be organised to promote domestic products in Karimnagar from February 11 to 16. Swadeshi Jagaran Manch would conduct a 'Job Mela’ to recruit 5,000 youth, he said.
