Hyderabad: The Congress party on Saturday organised a massive protest rally in Hyderabad against the Union government's handling of key national issues, including the NEET paper leak, hike in LPG, petrol and diesel prices, alleged failures in the CBSE system, and the depreciation of the rupee.

The rally commenced from Basheerbagh Crossroads and culminated at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar statue on Tank Bund, drawing a large number of party workers and supporters.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, AICC secretary Sachin Sawant, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, Khairatabad DCC president Motha Rohith and several senior Congress leaders participated in the protest.

Addressing the gathering, Congress leaders accused the BJP-led Central government of failing to address issues affecting students, farmers and the common people, and demanded accountability over the NEET controversy and rising cost of living.
