Warangal: Congress leaders under the leadership of Hanamkonda MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy took part in the grand celebrations of the Telangana Formation Day by hoisting national flags, paying tributes to statehood martyrs, performing palabhishekam to the portrait of AICC former president Sonia Gandhi, and distributing sweets in Hanamkonda on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rajendar said that the Sonia-led Congress realized the 60-year dream of the people of the region by forming a separate Telangana.
However, he alleged, that the K. Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS government robbed the state only to amass a lot of wealth, instead of providing employment opportunities, irrigation and drinking water in the last 10 years.
The KCR-led government resorted to corruption by selling the prime lands of the government while BRS leaders destroyed many historical structures and tried to kill the history of Telangana. The former Chief Minister utterly neglected the families of the statehood martyrs. It played with the lives of students and poor people by not implementing the Aarogyasri scheme and not sanctioning fee reimbursement funds, he alleged.
