Hyderabad:The Telangana High Court faulted the decision of the home department for rejecting compassionate appointment to the married daughter of the deceased police official, on the ground that she had not mentioned the financial status of herself and her husband.
Justice Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao was dealing with a petition filed by wife Shaheen Sultana and daughter Marium Fathima of deceased assistant sub-inspector Mohd Younus. He died in service in 2022, leaving behind wife Shaheen Sultana, two daughters and a son. The two daughters are married and the son is living in Canada.
All family members agreed that Marium Fathima be given the compassionate appointment, and made an application.
The authorities rejected the application, saying they could not consider it without mention of the economic conditions of the applicant and her husband. The Judge directed Marium Fathima to file a fresh application by stating her economical condition and directed authorities to consider her representation.
