Cop’s Son, Friends Create Ruckus in Kazipet, Arrested
Warangal: A circle inspector’s (CI’s) son along with his friends created a ruckus in a drunken state and attacked a cab driver for objecting to their urinating at a public place here in Kazipet of Hanamkonda district on Tuesday.
According to police, the accused was identified as Harsha, son of CI Purnachander who is attached to Siddipet police commissionerate.
Harsha along with his six friends was heading towards Hyderabad from Warangal. At 4 am, they stopped at Kazipet bus stand and tried to urinate by the roadside.
When one of the cab drivers objected to their urinating in the public place, Harsha and his friends thrashed him badly. Seeing this, other cab drivers came to his rescue. But Harsha along with his friends attacked them also and broke the windows of three cars parked nearby.
On a tip-off, police rushed to the spot and took Harsha and his friends into custody. Harsha indulged in a heated argument with police personnel at Kazipet police station. Police registered a case and began an investigation.
