Suryapet: BRS MLA G. Jagadish Reddy on Saturday said the Congress government was not providing irrigation to farmers though the Nagarjunasagar reservoir was brimming with water.
Jagadish Reddy said the crops under the Madhava Reddy Project-Srisailam Left Bank Canal were drying up. The Congress government had failed to release adequate water to SLBC as only two motors were working to pump the water.
He said the Congress government was not using the irrigation projects which were completed by the BRS government. Irrigation minister Uttam Kumar Reddy was wasting time with his statements and not showing interest in providing irrigation to farmers. He alleged that corruption was ruling the roost in all departments in the state government.
