CV Anand Set To Become Telangana’s Next DGP
The transition comes as the incumbent DGP, Shivadhar Reddy, reaches superannuation on April 30: Reports

HYDERABAD: In a major reshuffle within the state’s top police brass, senior IPS officer CV Anand is widely expected to be appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana.
The transition comes as the incumbent DGP, Shivadhar Reddy, reaches superannuation on April 30. According to official sources, Anand is slated to assume his new responsibilities in the first week of May.
Currently serving as the Special Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Anand’s path to the top post was further signalled by recent administrative shifts. The state government has already issued orders appointing Shikha Goel to succeed him in the Home Department role, effectively clearing the decks for his elevation to the state’s highest policing office.
