Dating App Scam: Hyderabad Police Register Suo motu Case Against Pub
Hyderabad: Police have registered a Suo motu case against the management of Mosh Pub for cheating customers through dating apps. The police have asked victims of this scam to come forward with evidence.
The scam came to light when a victim met a woman named Ritika on a dating app. After an initial conversation, Ritika suggested meeting at the Hitec City metro station.
Following their meeting, she took him to Mosh Club, where she ordered expensive drinks. The bill amounted to a staggering Rs 40,505. The transaction raised the victim's suspicion as the payment was directed to an HDFC Bank account in Delhi, despite the club being located in Hyderabad.
Upon discovering these discrepancies, the man researched the club online and found negative reviews implicating it in fraudulent activities.
