Hyderabad: Ten days after GHMC removed illegal sheds and food stalls in the DLF food street area, the debris and waste materials remain scattered on the street.
Acting on court orders, which deemed the structures and sheds illegal, the GHMC had removed the sheds on March 15. The debris has become a nuisance for locals and food vendors, with plastic, styrofoam, wood and shed material strewn across the area.
Suresh Kumar, a software employee, said, “I visit the street regularly for food, since I work close by. Because of the mess, it’s literally unwalkable here.”
Even food vendors are facing issues. “We have a lot of people coming in during evenings and night time. But with the material left behind, it is becoming very congested and irritable. GHMC should clean this up quickly,” said Vinod, a juice vendor.
